High performance even above 250 degrees Celsius

The new OKS 3520 Extreme Temperature Oil extends relubrication intervals and reduces friction coefficients at high operating temperatures

It often gets really hot during the manufacturing of insulating materials, in glass production, in brickworks and in the ceramics industry. Temperatures exceeding 250 degrees are as a rule required to process the materials. The lubricants used in the respective machine components and conveying systems must therefore have a high thermal-oxidative stability and have a high flashing point.

With OKS 3520 the lubricant experts of OKS have developed a fully synthetic, silicone-free extreme temperature lubricant that offers optimum wear protection even under the influence of moisture and humidity and in dusty environments. The special oil does not tend to deposit cracking residues even at extremely high operating temperatures of up to 280 degrees Celsius and thus ensures the functional reliability of machine elements even in this temperature range. OKS 3520 is characterized by its very good creep properties that allows penetration deep into the chain inner bearings and thus ensures very effective lubrication.

"In order to be efficient an oil that is used under rough operating conditions, such as in the insulating-material or glass industry, not only has to withstand extreme temperatures – it also has to perform reliably for as long as possible" explains Carolin Neuner, Product Manager at OKS. "Thanks to its high oxidation stability OKS extends the period of use and thus the relubrication intervals compared to conventional extreme temperature lubricants. Its additives suitable for extreme temperatures results in reduced coefficients of friction and thus in energy savings."

The light-coloured OKS 3520 is suitable for the lubrication of chains, pivoting bearings, wire cables, slideways or clamping and drying frames at temperatures up to 280 degrees Celsius and can be used in conveying systems, painting, stoving, drying and cooling bed installations as well as in hardening furnaces.
