"Kashrut", with its root "kosher" means 'fit' or 'pure' for consumption. To eat kosher food is a matter of course for religious Jews. In particular in the case of industrially produced food and particularly in Europe it is difficult to check whether food has really been produced as kosher.
The Rabbi of the Jewish community in Berlin, Rabbi Yitshak Ehrenberg, has now issued a certificate for a number of OKS speciality lubricants that can be used in the food processing industry. All the lubricants listed in it are kosher, meaning that no animal fats, alcohol made of grapes or other additives that are prohibited under Jewish law have been added. With its kosher certification OKS once more provides proof of its comprehensive competence in lubricants for food processing technology.
The following products are listed in the certificate:
| OKS 1120 | OKS 252 | OKS 352/3* |
| OKS 353 | OKS 3720 | OKS 3730 |
