The Bavarian State Government attributes great importance to the protection of the environment. Modern environmental protection practices start at the operational level and have even become an advantage in today´s world, making a contribution to the success of a company in a competitive market and thereby also helping to secure jobs. The "Environmental Pact of Bavaria - Environmentally Sustainable Economic Growth" of 25 October 2005 is a voluntary scheme for achievement of corporate environmental protection that goes beyond legal requirements. This now has been in place for over ten years as a mechanism for the practice of environmental responsibility by its member companies.
OKS made a successful application to join the Environmental Pact by fulfilling the requirements for membership through ist ISO 14001 compliant environmental management system and its activities relating to the Ökoprofit programme run by the city of Munich. The membership certificate can be seen by customers and other interested parties as a tangible expression of our dedication and engagement, supported by the state government.
The "Environmental Pact of Bavaria" certificate was presented to the general manager of OKS, Mr Schiekl, by State Minister Dr. Otmar Bernhard on 2 August 2007 at the Bavarian State Ministry of the Environment, Public Health and Consumer Protection in Munich.
