Extreme-temperature greases on the basis of synthetic base oils are therefore used to lubricate moving parts of form tools. In order to avoid time-consuming re-lubrication which always involves an interruption in the production process, the lubricant used must lubricate the ejector pins and slides of an injection moulding die reliably over a long period without the grease becoming encrusted or the moving parts becoming immobile due to a lack of lubricant film caused by the basic oil volatising. Deposits of the lubricant on the plastic parts are problematic since they usually cause these work pieces to be rejected. This is to be ensured by a moulding cycle that is as large as possible. In particular in the automotive supplying industry ejection intervals in the region of up to 15,000 cycles are required - naturally without re-lubrication.
